Summer is the ideal time for nature lovers to enjoy the beauty of the Catalan landscape. This is why the various FGC mountain operations give you the opportunity to reach the best viewpoints in Catalonia.
Below we explain what these spaces are that allow you to contemplate the charm and immensity of the landscapes!
One of the most complete options to enjoy the views of the territory is the Viewpoint-Balcó de la Costa Brava. Vallter gives you the possibility to reach it through its Jordi Pujol Planella 4-seater Panoramic Chairlift. You will witness a unique panorama with majestic views of the alpine landscape. In addition, you will have a panoramic view of different localities in the territory, from Ripollès, to Garrotxa, Pla de l'Estany and Empordà. From the viewpoint you can start different hiking routes that will not leave you indifferent.
If you prefer to visit a place from where you can observe the regions of Berguedà and Cerdanya, you can opt for the panoramic viewpoint located at the top of Tosa d’Alp, in La Molina. You will get there with the Cadí-Moixeró Cable Car which, apart from bringing you close to the point of reference for many of the summer activities, will take you to the highest area of the resort: the Niu de l'Refugio Àliga and the viewpoint, a panoramic observation point at more than 2,500 meters above sea level!
Vall de Núria is not far behind either! Taking the Cremallera at 11.15am every Saturday and Sunday, you will enjoy a trip to a unique Valley. This route includes a special stop at the Fontalba viewpoint and you will be able to better appreciate the fantastic views from the Cremallera.
Once in Vall de Núria you can also take a ride on the Coma del Clot cable car which will take you to a viewpoint with spectacular views of both the valley and the peaks that surround it. You will be a privileged spectator watching the blue skies merge with the mountains and green meadows!
Finally, a lower viewpoint, but equally extraordinary due to its location, is the Montserrat viewpoint. Located at the upper station of the Funicular de Sant Joan and at 1,000 meters above sea level, you will be able to perfectly observe the mountain of Montserrat and its Abbey.
Both for those looking to climb to the highest peaks and for those who choose to venture into the most remote places, the viewpoints of the FGC mountain stations offer you impressive perspectives!
