The resort opened its doors on the night of Saturday, January 18 to experience one of the oldest night skiing events in the Catalan Pyrenees, with torchlight descents, outdoor barbecues and fireworks.

The Vall de Núria ski and mountain resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), was the scene last night of the Nit del Papus, one of the oldest night skiing events in the Catalan Pyrenees. The event, which brought together more than 300 people, filled the valley with magic and fun under the light of the moon and stars.

From 5:30 p.m., young and old had to ski to avoid the Papus scattered around the slopes of Roc Malé, Eina and les Creus. Participants were able to enjoy the night skiing, which was livened up by a DJ and served with hot soup and snacks. At 6:30 p.m., the traditional torchlight descent took place, with three different groups for children, adults and non-skiers.

Once the skiing was over, at 8:00 p.m., participants were able to regain their strength with a barbecue at the Bar Finestrelles with live music. At 10:00 p.m., a fireworks show lit up the valley.

The Papus Night is becoming one of the most anticipated events in Vall de Núria, a unique experience that combines night skiing, gastronomy and fun. In fact, this nighttime event has been taking place for over a decade and is a benchmark in the events organized in the Pyrenees during the winter season.
