This unique protected natural space in southern Europe is located in the heart of the Lleida Pyrenees. It constitutes the most genuine representation of the high mountain and is unique for the majesty of its landscapes and for the richness of the flora and fauna it hosts. The park is planted with fir trees and centuries-old black pine forests and is watered by almost 200 high mountain ponds, where the chamois, the black grouse, the marmot and the legendary woodcock find refuge.
The best excursions to start learning about the park are the Camí dels Enamorats, the Roca de la Cremada, the Llong pond, the tomb in the Sant Maurici pond through the viewpoint and Amitges. Glacial phenomena such as U-shaped valleys and natural lakes can be observed in the National Park. The landscape includes alpine meadows and screes, and the lower walls of the area are covered by spruce and pine forests. Some of the peaks of the park have altitudes close to 3,000 m.
Culture lovers will be able to explore the Romanesque heritage of the Vall de Boí. Around the station is the essence of Romanesque art with churches and villages that make up the Romanesque Complex of the Vall de Boí, declared World Heritage by UNESCO.
The churches of Sant Joan and Sant Climent are authentic architectural jewels that have withstood the passage of time, preserving their beauty and authenticity.
