From March 16 to 18, the Catalan Alpine Ski Championships will be held in the U16/U14 categories.
Then, from March 22 to 24, Campeonato de España de Selecciones Autonómicas will be held for school-aged children, which will count for the 3rd and final phase of the U16/U14 Alpine Skiing Copa de España.
The month of March is full of action on the slopes of the Espot Esquí, with five competitions organized by the Catalan Winter Sports Federation (FCEH) and the Real Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI- Spainsnow). Among all the tests that will be held on the slopes of Espot, two in the U14 and U16 categories stand out: the Catalan Championship and the Final Phase of the Spanish Alpine Ski Cup. Two competitions that demonstrate the commitment of the Pallares station to support grassroots sports and promote this discipline among promising young women, becoming the reference for the celebration of winter sports competitions in our country. In addition, there will also be room for popular competitions with the annual celebration of the Espot Tamarro Race, which this year is in its 13th edition. It is a popular race that is held every season with regular users of the Pallares station to say goodbye to the winter season in a fun way.
From March 16 to 18, Espot Esquí will host the U16/U14 Alpine Ski Championships of Catalonia, an event that will bring together the new talents of Catalan alpine skiing. More than 100 male and female skiers will seek the title of champions of Catalonia in their respective categories. The competitions will be organized by the Espot Esquí, FGC Turisme and the Catalan Winter Sports Federation (FCEH).
The slalom will be held on Saturday March 16 and on Sunday March 17 it will be the turn of the giant. Finally, on Monday March 18, the parallel slalom will be contested, which will close the championship.
From March 22 to 24, the Lerida slopes will host the 2024 Campeonato de España de Selecciones Autonómicas (CESA), which will be scored for the final phase of the Alpine Skiing Cup of Spain for the U16/U14 categories. After a second phase in La Molina in February, it is now the turn of Espot Esquí, which has 3 competition stadiums approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
The Spanish Cup is a circuit of special relevance and interest for promoting high-level young athletes, where they can compete in a safe environment and with a selection of the best skiers in Spain. During the last years, the competition has also proven to be a vital platform for the growth of the sport at local level and to promote tourism in the ski resorts. The slalom race will be held on Saturday and the giant race on Sunday.
In this competition, the 25 best runners at state level in the U16/U14 categories have been classified. The event is organized by Espot Esquí, FGC Turisme, the Catalan Federation of Winter Sports (FCEH) and the Real Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI-Spainsnow). Currently, the current classification of the Spanish Cup by clubs is led by the Catalan team Terra Racing Team (TRTeam), followed by the Catalan Club Aranès Esport de Iuern (CAEI) and in third position is the Aragonese team Club Esquí Jaca ( BLIND).
