The six mountain resorts of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) are welcoming the winter season this weekend with the opening of more than 50 kilometres of skiable slopes. Thanks to the snowfall of the last few days, La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll will open their ski areas between tomorrow, Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14. The precipitation in the form of snow, the low temperatures and the constant work of the ski teams at each resort ensure excellent conditions for the start of the season. In addition, with snowfall forecast for the next few hours, if conditions are favorable, the ski areas will be expanded.

Port Ainé

Port Ainé is filled with snow to start the winter season. The heavy snowfall this weekend and the low temperatures mean that tomorrow, Friday, the resort will open its doors with 100% of the skiable slope, with Rand a layer of powder snow ranging from 30 to 60 cm thick. Visitors will be able to enjoy the nine slopes that will be open, which will be accessed via the Roní and Jet Cim chairlifts, the Cintes de la Font I and II, and the Clots ski lift.
