Ferrocarrils will present the wide range of activities offered by the mountain resorts, tourist trains and the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec.

During the show, from 28 to 30 March at the Montjuïc exhibition centre, FGC will present the latest tourist transport season news.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) will once again showcase its summer tourism offer at the B-Travel sustainable tourism fair, which will be held in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc exhibition centre at Fira de Barcelona from 28 to 30 March. FGC, located within the Agència Catalana de Turisme stand, will showcase the wide range of summer offers from its tourist facilities: ski and mountain resorts, tourist transport and the Montsec Astronomical Park, which offer visitors a different way of discovering Catalonia. Opening hours to the public are: Friday 28 and Saturday 29: from 10am to 8pm. And Sunday 30, from 10am to 6pm.

People who visit the Ferrocarrils stand will be able to discover the different proposals for enjoying the mountains at the La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter and Boí Taüll resorts, from cycling activities, panoramic rides on the chairlifts, biodiversity observations, hiking routes or children's activities in the middle of nature, among others.

Tourist transport is the other great package of FGC destinations that can be discovered: the Montserrat Rack Railway and Funiculars, which provide direct access to the most important tourist and pilgrimage destination in Catalonia; the Núria Rack Railway, a tourist transport with more than 90 years of history and the only access to the mountain station; the Tren del Ciment, in Berguedà, a tourist train with more than a century of history that crosses forests and privileged natural environments at the gates of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park; the Tren dels Llacs, which goes from the Plana de Lleida to the Pre-Pyrenees and crosses some of the most impressive and unique landscapes in Catalonia, and the Tren Granota del Vallès, built in the post-war period in the historic Sarrià workshop.

Visitors will also be able to discover what the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec has to offer, located in Àger (La Noguera), the most important astronomy dissemination centre in Catalonia. This year, the Astronomical Park is presenting daytime and nighttime activities and sessions for all audiences and different unique experiences such as the Astronomy Festival or the Music under the Stars cycle.

At the Ferrocarrils stand, you will also be able to experience immersive virtual reality experiences. On the one hand, the 3D Espot Esquí experience, which allows you to immerse yourself in a descent feeling the speed of skiing down a slope in the resort with a great effect of authenticity. And on the other, a descent through the Bike Park of La Molina, to experience the adrenaline of speed on a mountain bike on one of its circuits.

New tourist transport

Precisely, within the framework of B-Travel, this Friday, the 28th, at 5:30 p.m., Ferrocarrils will present the new features of the tourist transport season. The president of Ferrocarrils, Carles Ruiz, accompanied by the general director of FGC, Alicia Valle, will attend the presentation, given by the director of Business and Strategy of FGC Turisme, Enric Serra.
