With the celebration of this new edition, the Girona station demonstrates its firm willingness to collaborate with initiatives that help promote and give notoriety to inclusive white sport. In fact, year after year, La Molina is the scene of high-level international tests for people with disabilities, thanks to the investments that have been made over the last decade so that anyone can practice mountain sports. Among its extensive history, the organization of IPC (International Paralympic Committee) events stands out: in 2015 and 2023 it hosted the FIS Para Snowboard World Cups and in 2013 it hosted the IPC Alpine Ski World Cups. Likewise, practically every season, it has hosted IPC World Cups, mainly snowboarding. These events have been possible thanks to the investments that La Molina has made over the years to adapt its facilities and make them accessible to everyone.
The La Molina Adapted Sports Center
La Molina also has the Adapted Sports Center, a space where people with disabilities can enjoy sports, both in the winter and summer seasons.
The Girona station stands out for being one of the most advanced centers in resources for people with reduced mobility. Through collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and the Play and Train association, La Molina has adequate infrastructure and offers skiing, snowboarding and guided classes with experienced teachers.
The adapted parking spaces, the rental of specific equipment for different types of disabilities or access to various places in the station make La Molina a benchmark. Among the main accessible tourist activities in the station are adapted mountain bikes (MTB), skikart, tandem skiing or skiing for people with visual disabilities, along with the Adventure Park or the Gondola ride.
