La Molina resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), is ready to start the new winter season.
This year, FGC reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, introducing several improvements that aim to make the stations more and more environmentally friendly.
At the same time, FGC TURISME continues to expand and diversify its offer with the Pirineu365 Club, which offers unique experiences tailored to enjoy the Catalan Pyrenees to the fullest.
La Molina resort is excited to share the news that will mark the next winter season. The most prominent are the following:
- Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the La Molina + Masella estate (Alp 2500) and the Cadí Moixeró Gondola. The ski resorts of La Molina and Masella form one of the largest ski areas in the Pyrenees, with 145 kilometers of pistes. The lift that facilitates the connection is the Cadí Moixeró Cable Car that covers, in just 20 minutes, the almost three kilometers that separate the car park of the Cable Car at Cap de Comella from the 2,537 level in La Tosa d’Alp.
- The new pass for 4 working days is on sale. This new product will be on sale throughout the winter season to promote skiing during the week. In this way, the diversification of its proposed activities is encouraged to promote local tourism.
- Installation in La Molina of a video wall in front of the resort offices to show the 2D track map and thus show the state of the tracks in real time.
- Installation of two new 360º live cams (at Niu de l’Àliga in Torrent Negre), which are added to the one already in Cap de Comella.
- Installation of five new cannons in the Fun Park to encourage the opening of this space throughout the season.
- Incorporation of a new experience at Christmas.
- First phase of the renovation works at Niu de l'Àliga and Torrent Negre, the main objective has been the complete reform of the kitchens. The work teams have been modernized to adapt them to the new needs, with the use of more efficient and sustainable technologies. This improvement will make it possible to optimize the preparation of meals and offer a more agile and quality service to visitors to the shelter. These reforms are part of La Molina's commitment to continue innovating and offering first-class infrastructure to mountain lovers.
- Renovation of the toilets located in Pista Llarga. This intervention has focused on modernizing the spaces to offer a better experience to users, while guaranteeing more comfort, hygiene and accessibility. The new facilities are equipped with energy efficiency systems, as well as quality materials that ensure their durability and a lower environmental impact.
