Port Ainé resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), is ready to start the new winter season.
This year, FGC reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, introducing several improvements that aim to make the stations more and more environmentally friendly.
At the same time, FGC TURISME continues to expand and diversify its offer with the Pirineu365 Club, which offers unique experiences tailored to enjoy the Catalan Pyrenees to the fullest.
Port Ainé resort is excited to share the news that will mark the next winter season. The most prominent are the following:
- Renovation of lockers at the equipment rental level 2000 and in the ski storage area of the Port Ainé 2000 hotel***.
- New rental area for groups, with new cages to store equipment.
- New customer service point at level 2000.
- New acquisition of 9 modules for the Snowpark.
- Improvement of the Sant Miquel picnic area, on the access road to the resort.
- Facilities and tracks maintenance:
Work to stabilize the slopes on the access road to the resort.
Bioengineering works in the two ravines above the 2000 level.
Renovation of the perimeter fence of the 2200 level lake for water collection for snow production.
Profiled + hydroseeding of 4,500m2 of alpine meadow at the end of the Bellavista piste and on the Baixant de Port Ainé piste.
Renewal and repair of windbreaks.
- Entry into operation of a green point for the best separation of waste generated at the resort.
- Snow produced:
Relocation of cannons on the slopes of Rabasta, l'Estadi, Snowpark and Prat de Clots in order to optimize snow production.
Optimization of production and reduction of water and light consumption with the acquisition of eleven new state-of-the-art heads.
Renovation of pipes and valves in the engine room.
