Vall de Núria presents the novelties for the 2024 summer season

Vall de Núria is located in the Ripollès region. A unique valley that is a benchmark in environmental preservation due to its status as a car-free natural space surrounded by peaks that touch 3,000 meters. It can only be accessed with the historic Rack Railway, in service since 1931, or by walking along the Camí Vell de Queralbs in Núria and crossing from the neighboring valleys.

 

In summer, Vall de Núria is the ideal destination for practicing all kinds of outdoor activities. During this time of the year it becomes a perfect space for fans of sports and nature in general. In addition, it combines the experience of traveling in the emblematic genuine transport of the valley with a wide range of activities designed for the whole family 365 days a year in an exceptional natural environment.

News 2024

  • Vall de Núria is working to improve its energy efficiency, with the expansion of the geothermal system (it will go from a 300 kw installation to 840 kw) and with the insulation of the facades of the older buildings to avoid leaks thermal

  • Temporary exhibition on Ecovall in Vall de Núria, which will deal with the following four axes: Energy transition and decarbonisation, Electric mobility, Circular economy and Biodiversity. The exhibition will be located in the equipment rental area, inside Volum Nord and will be free for all visitors.

  • Electrolineras – Station car parks: Installation of chargers for electric vehicles in different car parks on the Remallera line.

  • Núria is working on measuring the quality of the sky to achieve Starlight certification.

  • With the arrival of good weather, the resort expands its range of activities with yoga sessions for all audiences. This proposal is free for people staying at the Hotel de Vall de Núria.

  • Creation of three new trail running circuits around Vall de Núria.

  • Vall de Núria has seven archaeological routes around Núria. These are routes of archaeological interest that bear witness to the strong anthropization of the Pyrenean valleys from prehistory (IV-III millennia BC) to contemporary times.

  • Astronomical observation activities by the Montsec Astronomical Park. The activity consists of a first part of recognition of the sky with the naked eye, in which you will find the most important constellations and stars that can be observed. In the second part, an observation will be made of the most outstanding objects of the night through a telescope.

  • New welcome area with a new information point for the Natural Park at the arrival of the zip line. The office will inform about all the excursions that can be done there.

  • Remodeling of rooms at the Hotel Vall de Núria.

  • Installation of an inclusive changing room for people with reduced mobility at the base of the station. It is located in the central building of Vall de Núria.

  • Improvement of the accessibility of the Volta al Llac path and also to the hermitage of Sant Gil.

  • New shelter on platform 2 of the Cremallera de Queralbs station.
