Vallter resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), is ready to start the new winter season.
This year, FGC reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, introducing several improvements that aim to make the stations more and more environmentally friendly.
At the same time, FGC TURISME continues to expand and diversify its offer with the Pirineu365 Club, which offers unique experiences tailored to enjoy the Catalan Pyrenees to the fullest.
The Vallter resort is excited to share the news that will mark the next winter season. The most prominent are the following:
- New nocturnal experiences with a snowmobile and high-altitude dinners at the new Braseria Les Marmotes.
- Vallter will present its 50th anniversary in the winter of 2025 with an institutional event. The resort will present the start of the celebration in an event commemorating the commissioning of the first ski lift. The commemorative events open to the general public will take place throughout the next winter season 2025-2026.
- New 360º Webcam to observe conditions in the Marmotes area live with a new panoramic camera.
- New space for fun-ski modules for children at the bottom of the Morens track to do slalom.
- New strategic windbreaks: Improved snow conservation thanks to the installation of windbreaks at key points.
- Remodeling of tracks: Adaptation and improvement of the layouts of various tracks for greater safety and enjoyment.
- GastroVallter: A gastronomic experience that unites the four restaurant points of the station:
Cafeteria-Restaurant La Portella: Specialty in pizzas and combined dishes.
The Foodtruck: Fast delicacies such as tapas and hamburgers.
Braseria Les Marmotes: Extension of Cafeteria Les Marmotes, now converted into a brasserie with more space and grilled specialties.
La Barra de Vallter at the base of the resort: New gastronomic point at the foot of the slopes.
- El Balcó de la Costa Brava: New panoramic space with spectacular views.
- Snow reinforcement: Improved snow conditions on the Stadium Track to guarantee an excellent season.
- Safety improvements: Arrangement of a slope on the road to increase access safety.
- Sustainable practices: Implementation of renewable energy, recycling programs and collaboration with the Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park to protect our environment.
- Replacement of the roof of the La Portella cafeteria-restaurant building and the attached service buildings at the base of the station.
